Superstition ARC’s First VE Session a Big Success

Well, I am happy to report that our club’s first testing session went very well.
Volunteer Examiners (VEs) present were:

  • Matt Churchill, K7YEG.
  • Fred Atkinson, WB4AEJ.
  • Sue Rogers, K7SKH (Sunlife ARC).
  • Chuck Rogers, W7CBR (Sunlife ARC).
  • Jeff Clagg, AE7NV.
  • Tom Erickson, AG7WQ.
  • Wayne Sheddenhelm, KI7DUL.
  • Michael Reed, AA0MR.

Thanks to all of you for helping to make our first session run so well.

We had five applicants. Four passed their technician exam. One of the four went again and passed his general. I would say those are some very fine outcomes.

Those who passed are:

  • Pedro Choca, KK7TBK
  • David Armistead, KK7TAX
  • Bryce Benjamin (General), KK7TAO
  • David Eneboe, KK7TAY

The Laurel VEC was quick to submit their applications and submit them to the FCC. Just three days after the exam, they all are now licensed members of the amateur radio community.

Hopefully, we can look forward to seeing them as new members at our upcoming meetings.

73, Fred, WB4AEJ.
